What are we doing?
 ‘Equal access to enterprise’ is at the core of CREATE – a partnership of national business support organisations. Our aim is to encourage people to consider entering into self-employment or growing businesses through a structured business format such as franchising, licensing or direct Selling agency. CREATE together with Croydon Enterprise and SLB are focusing on improving policymakers and practitioners’ ability to offer quality and informed advice on franchising and/or direct selling in South London.
Who will benefit?
Advisers from South London-based Business, Community and Faith groups and Organisations who are working with existing business owners, potential franchisors/direct sellers and prospective franchisees.
What are we doing?
The programme’s Toolkits and training programme are specifically designed for South London advisers which complement our resources for budding and existing business people, assessing the wide range of individual franchises and direct selling organisations available. This advice is underpinned by CREATE’s knowledge and experience of how each business model works and advisors are able to provide better support to those considering starting-up or growing their own business.
How are we doing it?
CREATE and its partner, the Small Firms and Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI), have developed best practice standards for business advisers offering support on structured business formats. The innovative best practice standards have been developed to complement the existing core Adviser Standards and increase advisors ability to advise on franchising and direct Selling. The training programme provides advisers with the skills and knowledge to support people at the early stages of taking up their businesses and providing enhanced support when they are established.
